Occasionally, dental implants will need restored. Older implants in particular may need to be replaced or repaired. With restorative dentistry, newer dental technology has improved both upon the function and appearance of the new implants. Quality of materials has increased over the years giving the new implants more aesthetic appeal and greater durability.
Sycamore Hills Dentistry is an ethical practice, where the well-being of the patient is top of our agenda. That is why, when we fit implants, they are checked during every subsequent appointment. We will check your bone density, gums and any structures attached to the implant. Our team will also provide you with education on caring for your implants and false teeth, so that you are not taken by surprise by related problems.
In some cases you may not require a full restoration of an implant. In some cases an implant repair involves replacement of the old crown on the implant with a newer, more accurately shaped or colored cap. Sycamore Hills Dentistry can carry out necessary repairs, which are much less invasive and will not require you to take too much time out of your busy life. Our ethics based approach to dentistry means that our patients are always well informed about oral health issues. We provide documentation for the entire family on oral healthcare, as well as keeping you informed throughout any treatments.
Should your implant become damaged, you can contact us and get an appointment either on the same day or week. If the crown attached to the implant has become loose or fallen out, we can provide a temporary replacement until you are able to come in for a more permanent solution. Our team is trained to recognize common red flags with implants, so if you have any fears that your implant is damaged you can contact us for a consultation.
